Viking Ocean Cruises and Royal Viking Line
Viking Cruises have very visible links to the great traditions of the former Royal Viking Line, once a premium brand in the cruise industry (1972 - 1998).
The names of Viking ships echo the former Royal Viking Line ships.
The first one was the Royal Viking Star followed by the Royal Viking Sea and the Royal Viking Sky.
The founder of the cruise line, Chairman and CEO Torstein Hagen was CEO of Royal Viking Line from 1980 to 1984.
I was lucky to see the Royal Viking Sky (now Boudicca) a couple of years ago.
